INTENSITY KNOB
This turns the gear on. You can also control the brightness of the source. At certain points, you will get really interesting dark tones before you get to 10, which will be full blast. Note: Be careful with it. It is a old-styled mechanical type knob and over abuse will break it. If broken, cease use of it and contact me.

CHROMA / BURST / HUE KNOBS
Recommend starting with the Chroma and Burst at 0. Put the Hue around 5. When you find rainbow effects, these 3 knobs will adjust the rate and depth of them. Especially, the Hue knob.
クロマ/バースト/色相ノブ ChromaとBurstは0からスタートし、Hueは5前後に設定することをお勧めします。レインボーエフェクトを見つけると、この3つのノブでその速度と深さを調整します。特にHueノブ。
MODE SWITCH
Bypass Mode will give you a normal vision of the effects. Color Mode will burst the rainbows out. B/W will do black and white effects of the source.

SOURCE SWITCH
This will allow you to switch between two sources. Not a mixer. Just a simple switcher.

CONTROL VOLTAGE IN
Two 1⁄8’’ inputs for running modular synths or gear with CV out for controlling the FX.

PUSHBUTTONS
These give you a chance to push with your fingers a rhythmic effect while using the knobs. Note: If certain knobs are up, some push buttons will not work or not be as drastic in effect.
プッシュボタン ノブを操作しながら、指で押してリズミカルな効果を得ることができます。注意：特定のノブが上にある場合、いくつかのプッシュボタンは機能しないか、またはそれほど劇的な効果が得られません。
TOP FX KNOBS
No rhyme and reason here. Just explore and see what happens. They will repeat the same effects. Some work with others and some do not. Exploring is key. Lots of hidden magic. You will not see everything at first… Note: They work mainly in the 6-10 range. Use of micro-tuning in that small realm will open up all kinds of dimensions.

FURTHER NOTES
The source is key. The signal from a VCR or a DVD will be very different. Try both. HI-8 / 8MM / VHS-C camcorders will really make this gear shine. The Psychenizer is a lush gear for video mixers and projecting. Time Base Correctors will help stabilize the glitchy signal. You can run 1 source in and 2 out to 2 different monitors. Use this to send 1st out to a CRT TV and the 2nd out to a computer. (Or any kind of workflow in that vein: 2 TV’s, multiple projectors, capturing devices, etc.) So you can film a CRT TV screen and capture direct in computer at same time. Both will offer various textures and results not found in each other. This is also great for feedback looping experimentation with video mixers.
